Thriving after Sexual Abuse
Counseling
It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help and trust another human with your personal story. You’ve come to a warm, safe place! We offer friendly, trustworthy counselors for children as well as adult survivors of sexual abuse or any inappropriate sexual touching.
Youth
As a parent, it is likely one of your worst fears to have your child experience any form of sexual abuse or sexual manipulation. LifePoint offers support and guidance to the whole family. We know you want the best for your child and will help guide you and your loved one through this, even when the one who did the harming is part of the family.
Seeing a therapist even if there are no outward signs of distress following sexual abuse can prevent future anxiety, help relearn appropriate boundaries, and prevent the internalizing of wrong messages, which can play out for a lifetime.
We tend to put meaning on experiences and can inadvertently make decisions based on distorted messages following any experience, but the chances of receiving distorted messages are higher with sexual abuse.
~ Seek support and we will help you figure out the next steps! ~
